Airbus: www.airbus.com

ELAN is working at requests involving development, design and analysis for new aircraft projects like the A380 and for fabrication devices, e.g. the CFK rudder, fuselage elements and flaps. The orders are realised in our office or together in teams at the customer’s. For AIRBUS we use CATIA and PATRAN / NASTRAN as software.

Volkswagen: www.volkswagen.de

ELAN has been a service provider within the design and analysis for Volkswagen AG for years. Especially within the development of gear units and alighting gears, ELAN GmbH is an active partner. Even in the component production the EDAG SIGMA’s knowledge will be used. Besides the designing part of the work, it is the analysis of stress, oscillation tests and component optimising which need to be done.

Lufthansa Technik: www.lufthansa-technik.com

Lufthansa has got one of the most successful completion centres in the world. Big airliners are remodelled following individual customer’s expectations, e.g. heads of state, CEOs of international companies or prosperous private persons.
ELAN energetically helps with designing interior and writes FE analysis and stress analysis for the remodelled components.

Max-Planck Institute:  www.mpg.de

The Max-Planck Institute plans large-scale experiments in the field of plasma physics. The test “Wendelstein“ will test an optimised magnetic field. The plant’s core is a big, circular plasma container that is dismantled by magnetic coils. The erection and the test setup need devices with minimum allowance. ELAN designed and analysed major parts of this plant with CADDS5, Pro/ENGINEER and ANSYS.

Jungheinrich AG:  www.jungheinrich.de

ELAN designed serial components of handcart vehicles and special solutions for customer’s requests for the Jungheinrich AG with the 3D-CAD program CADDS5. Such components are: lifting  and battery carrier optimisation. ELAN is able to support the success of the Jungheinrich AG with the quality of its services.

SIETAS shipyard: www.sietas-werft.de

The Hamburgian SIETAS shipyard has successfully developed ships for heavy weights, containers and ro-ro ships for primarily European customers for years. ELAN successfully supports their design branch with FE simulation, stress analysis and dynamic analysis. For SIETAS shipyard, ELAN uses the program ANSYS to test the oscillation of the deckhouse that was stimulated by the wave.

DASELL: www.dasell.de

DASELL designs and builds cabin interior for air liners. This includes lavatories, storage compartments, partition walls and shower cabins. DASELL has been ELAN’s customer since 1992 and they surrendered nearly all FE and stress analysis to ELAN GmbH. Furthermore, ELAN supports DASELL with an experienced design team. The programs ANSYS and CADDS5 are used.

DeWind: www.dewind.de

DeWind is a successful fabricator of big windtourbines. The product range includes 3 families with power between 500 KW and 2 MW. This corresponds to a rotor diameter of 40 m until 80 m. The plants are erected on tubular steel turrets and have hub heights of 50 m until 100 m. Our cooperation began 8 years ago during the development of the first product family. We support DeWind with the analysis and optimising of tubular steel turrets and machine-built components like hub, shaft and machine carrier.

HCP: www.hcpe.dk

HCP is a comprehensive engineering company that is located in Denmark. At the beginning of our cooperation was wind energy. Nowadays HCP is working offshore as a design and consultant company. We support HCP in special tasks that need the usage of FEM programs, where we strictly follow international standards.

ZF Lemförder alighting gear technique: www.zf.com

The ZF Lemförder alighting gear technique is a world-leading fabricator of lighting gears. As a  major supplier for vehicle constructors, they independently develop alighting gears following the latest standards. During the development ELAN GmbH helps with the components dismantling. Therefore, non-linear analysis of rubber shock-absorbers and stability tests of track rods needs to be done. And, moreover, guide rod components are optimised in shape for the loading.

Nordex group: www.nordex-online.com

The Nordex group is one of the world-leading suppliers of windtourbines. The major part of their work includes high-power machines especially high-voltage. With the N80/2500 kW Nordex offers the most powerful serial plant of the world. ELAN supports Nordex by developing turret components with the program Pro/Engineer.

KTR: www.ktr.de

Drive components by KTR are on duty, worldwide. And it is the being close to the customers that comes first. That is guaranteed through networking in service and sale which stands for competent advice and fast delivery. More than 40 subsidiaries, engineering companies and sale’s partners are close to the market and really listen to customer’s advice. Moreover, fast decisions can be made within the KTR group. ELAN GmbH made diverse stress analysis for special products that are due to heavy loading.
